bring your Interior to life with unique surfaces:
The finish materials you use for your interior surfaces can become some of the most important focal points. Using a carefully selected stone pattern for interior walls and surfaces, you can create a unique tactile effect that exudes beauty, sophistication, and luxury. Take advantage of our carefully curated 3D printed stone options to introduce a new standard.
USES:
These 3D printed tiles are designed for use on wall surfaces.
Color Range
3D printed stone colors are based on the source stones and minerals available. These tiles have a base color of brown and beige, with dark purples, rust, pinks and even greens also available. When used in a pattern that contrasts colors, it creates a more rustic aesthetic.
3D printed stone tiles exhibit mild color variation from tile to tile.
Grain & Visual Pattern:
To mimic schist’s visual variations, we allow for a range of aesthetics. It can be smooth and refined, or displayed with a rugged appearance.
Carefully selecting the pattern on the tiles for your project is recommended to achieve the best, tailored look.
Texture and Finish:
The 3D printed tile was inspired by Schist, which has a naturally platy texture due to its foliation. Therefore, it is suitable for:
- a natural finish look
- a rustic finish with a rough texture
The texture of these 3D panels can also be reduced, providing a smooth and even texture.
Due to the different colors and patterns found in different stones, the right finish will depend on the specific stones you choose.
Environmental
We believe when the building industry sources and manufactures building materials with sustainability in mind, we all live in a healthier world, and we want to do our part.
There are many green or environmental aspects of using 3D printed stone tiles. First, they are made from an additive manufacturing process, which means we take stone dust and make it into panels and tiles. Often we use waste stone that is a byproduct of cutting stone. Because these thin veneer tiles weighs approximately 95% less than full-thickness stone, more can be transported on the same truckload, reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Also, no quarry equipment is needed. We use local stones because it is ecologically friendly, and ties the building to the local landscape.
Because of its reduced weight, 3D printed stone tiles require less structural support. This means less lumber, steel, and concrete to produce, ship and install. As a result, we are decreasing the use of our most widely used natural resources.
Historically in the building process, there has been inherent waste of material. This material has filled landfills, instead of being repurposed. Natural stone waste is only a positive as it can be used for other purposes, including decorative tiles. This translates to no waste.
Natural stone and our mixers do not contain any VOCs or other compromising chemicals or toxins. They come naturally from the earth, so it is inherently sustainable. 3D printed stone is also very low maintenance–no need for paint, sealers, or harsh cleaning products. No off gassing from toxic materials, finishes, or adhesives.
